Snapchat Unlocks New Filters Based on What You Snap
Snapchat already offers fun photo and video overlays based on your location. Now the company is providing filter options based on what's in your snap.
Every bit Mashable first reported, the photo and video-sharing app's latest feature can recognize what's in your prototype, and offering upward relevant graphics. And then, if you're snapping a photo of your pooch, Snapchat might unlock a pet-themed filter that says "it's a pawty!" Or, if you're at the embankment and snap a photo from your oceanside cabana, the app might offer a nautical filter that says "bounding main view."
The new filters will automatically populate in your carousel if yous snap certain places and things, including pets, food, the beach, a concert, or a sporting event. After taking a snap, swipe left or right to come across the available options, which are updated oft.
And so, finding a Snapchat filter to spice up an image of your dog, the yummy meal you're about to consume, the beach you lot're relaxing on, or your favorite sports squad is well-nigh to get a little easier.
Meanwhile, Snapchat is gearing up to curlicue out a major redesign that aims to brand the app a lot more user friendly.
"I thing that we have heard over the years is that Snapchat is hard to sympathize or difficult to employ, and our squad has been working on responding to this feedback," Snap CEO Evan Spiegel said earlier this month. "Equally a result, we are currently redesigning our awarding to make it easier to use.
